I have read all the discussions in this forum and it appears that you all are very educated and talented lot of India.But I am in big dilema that if this sort of youngsters will take our country for future then Is our country is Safe?
Really, this has been an serious issue for all of us.why you all just thinkling of maharastra, UP, bihar when US , china, Japan are expanding there hands and legs to all over the world ,we are still in the same mode which our ancestors had.
You all have read history ,its good but do you we can be better than our history.Now whole world is going towards globalisation and every country ia appraising it.Think of the case when Indians employees will bve thrown out from US UK germany, then ur whole Mahastra UP and Bihar will again start to beg.
Because of our talent and quality we are surviving in US UK and many overseas country then why cant be in our country
Just read the preamble of our constitution , we all get the real thing to discuss.who ever think of territorialism they r criminal .So , being educated person dont do crime against humanity.other wise one day India will become no man’s Island.

SB i think you are not aware of many facts…
maratha army is not formed by shivaji,
Infact the maratha empire was formed 50 years after death of shivaji which was led by peshwas.
And strictly speaking sikhs gurkhas were the first people to fight from the side of british.
If your knowledge based bias is that good then i would also ask you who fought the third battle of panipat

Maharastra’s Percentage Contribution to All India (P) of Crimes
Committed Against Children (Foeticide) during 2000 (State and UT-Wise) is 45.1%.

Maharastra’s Percentage Contribution to All India (P) of Crimes
Committed Against Children (Infanticide) during 2000 (State and UT-Wise) is 19.2%.

I rest my case.

Also, where I come from we haven’t heard of any of these jokers in the pack (dolkars, solkars and other mother f*****). Also, you haven’t answered my original question if what you say is true than why your state is third from the bottom in the list of kargil martyr’s? Maybe these kars are too busy bashing other non-martial innocent Indians. I guess they can’t take us (SINGHS, yeah I am one of them!). As a matter of fact the Brits considered maratha’s only good at guerrilla tactics and not man enough to be recruited and taken overseas to fight.Yeah you heard it right, NOT MAN ENOUGH!

i am not being jignoistic i am just stating the facts and by the way the scindhias,holkars,gaikwads, laxmibai,tatya topey created an empire whether they had tiny frame or not.jats were defeated
time and again by scindhias and combined power of holkar,scindhia,
pawar crushed entire rajputana at the battle of neemuch.these are
accurate and historical facts.
whole world know about honesty and bavery of sikhs??well it seems they also know about their killing of
unborn girl child,honour killing of their daughters and sisters,
holiday brides of punjab.
punjabis are pathological liars and whereever
they go they destroy the social fabric of the host society by
their greed, self centredness and their soul rotting corruption .
marathis are fine with their eating habits may be you should eat less of that stinking chholey pinni and learn the concept of personal hygeiene.

OK listen you can be as jingoistic as you want but that doesn’t change facts collaborated by others and maybe you haven’t heard about the sikh gurus and what they did for Hinduism. Anyway beside the point I was only responding to someone’s suggestion of having Marathi NSG and to prove that fallacy I have presented enough historical facts regarding martial credentials of marathis. So if I was you I would keep my gob shut and stop acting like a nut. And maybe if you guys eat a bit more maybe you can compete with others (forget about joining army and winning medals that’s beyond your tiny frame and black arse) . Also, Punjabis are dishonest and sleazy? well the whole world knows about the honesty and integrity of Sikhs and maybe you should revisit a good dictionary to get the concept of parasite or even better spend your time doing something useful maybe you might get somewhere in life with your black arse.

the maratha empire was successful because it was successfully handled by the peshwas. british didnt recruit marathis because they were considered as fiercely independent.the
one thing strikes me is that north indians dont even know what
marathis have done for hinduism and hindus.the temple of kashi
vishwanath was rebuild by devi ahilyabhai holkar after it was
destroyed by mughals so was mahakal temple of ujjain and temple in omkareshwar . in the last 80 years the unity of hindus can be
mostly credited to selfless efforts of marathis in RSS. in return all we got is hatred from north indians.bravery of punjabis and
haryanvis is useless they dont have the vision, foresight and inspiration to create a healthy society.punjabis are sleazy, vulgar and dishonest.biharis are simply parasites who are living off other people.

Guys lot of talk in other forums have been based around having a marathi NSG. Here are few facts I would like to share with you all.

Great as the suggestion of MH having it’s own army might sound, It’s a ridiculous preposition. Here are some facts for you (you can google wiki or anything and can verify them)

1. Although Maratha empire was successful it was basically based around the leadership qualities of Shivaji rather than any martial credentials of Marathi people. As a matter of fact the British didn’t even recognise Marathas/Maharashtrains as martial race and they credited rise of Maratha empire to historical circumstances and good leadership of shivaji.

2. The British hardly recruited marathis in their army. The british army which fought the world wars was dominated by Gurkhas, Sikhs, Kumaonis, Garhwalis (present day Uttarakhand) and pathans.

3. If you go through the list of winners of Victoria cross/Indian medal of merit/ Param vir chakra, you would find 98% of them has been won by Gurkhas,Sikhs,Garhwalis and Kumaonis.

4. The contribution of Punjab, Haryana and uttarakhand in modern day Indian army is 80%. As a matter of fact the Sikh regiment and the Kumaon regiment are the most decorated regiments of Indian army and of the two the kumaon regiment is fairly young regiment as the kumaonis used to fight under gurkha and garhwal rifles in pre-independence days.

5. Even in the recent memory the two most high profile incident where NSG was involved, the aksharadham temple and Mumbai attacks, if you can recollect involved NSG commandos from Uttarakhand and Haryana. We all know about Gajendra singh Bist and Surjan Singh Bhandari (both from uttarakhand) as they were bestowed by martyrdom during these operation.

6. Every other day we hear news jawans losing life in Kashmir and more often than not these jawans are from Punjab,uttarakhand or Haryana.

7. In kargil war the highest number of causalities were from uttarakhand followed by Punjab and Haryana again. Maharashtra was third from the bottom!

All I am trying to prove by these facts are you can’t build martial credentials on mere talks. It is something which you either have it or not.

SO any dreams of pure Maharashtrain NSG at best would remain a dream and at worst our ultimate nightmare!
