When you install windows first it starts in no time but later it slows up with usage.

Why?

Its because of the applications and program we install during our usage. These applications and services also start during windows startup and the extra time these programs takes also add up in the windows startup time. If you can trim the list of programs and services then you windows will start faster.

Now the good news!

There is one software that has made it too easy to tune your computer boot faster. This software is easy to use and you are not required to know a lot of technical tricks. I used  this software and decreased my windows boot time from 2.15 min to 1.00 min. This program is known as Soluto. You can know more about it on its website www.soluto.com and download it for free.

After you install Soluto it will make a list of programs that are starting during the boot and sort them under following 3 types:

1. No Brainer: These programs are usually not required at startup and should remove them.

2. Potentially removable: These programs can be removed provided you know what these programs do and you need them or not.

3. Required: These programs are essential for windows. I suggest do not touch them.

You will have following options for these programs:

1. Pause: If you choose this option the program you have selected will be removed from windows startup.

2. Delay: This option will not remove the application but will make it start after the windows boot has completed and your computer is idle.

When you hover your mouse over the application it will show the time in seconds the program takes while startup.

After you have made the required changes you can restart your computer and observe the faster boot time.

I dont remember who invited me to facebook or I myself typed the web address.

Like me most of you might also have forgotten but now facebook has started giving some detail description about the invites.

• If you would like to know who all have joined Facebook because of you, go here.
• If you would like to see a list of all people whom you have invited to join Facebook but they are yet to accept your invitation, go here.
• If you like to know who in your friends circle has brought the maximum number of people to Facebook so far, go to facebook.com/impact.

You can also send invites to friends to whom you have previously invited but the invitation was not accepted or stayed unnoticed.

Here are the steps you have to follow to do this:

1. Login to your wordpress dashboard.

2. Click on the “Writing” option under “settings”.

3. You will the option “XML-RPC” under “Remote publishing” section. Enable the check box  in front of it.

4. Click on the “Save Changes”

5. Its Done!!

Now go to Windows livewriter and try to setup your blog again. You wont face any problem.

1. Most easy one is to use snipping tool built in windows seven or probably windows vista. To take screen shot through snipping tool you simply have to open it ( its present in program files > accessory > snipping tool) click on new and choose the area of screen you want to capture. Selected area will be automatically open as a picture in new window. Save it and use it.

2. If you do not have snipping tool in your PC  you don’t have to worry. The most used technique to take screenshot is by using print screen button. Here is what you have to do:

• Focus the screen you want to take shot of.
• Hit print screen on your keyboard. Sometime th print screen button is labeled as PRTSC or something like that.
• Open you favorite image editing software/tool. If you don’t have one you can use paint (it is present in program files > accessories > paint).
• Click on files > new.
• Paste by using control + “v”.
• Resize it or edit to your satisfaction.
• Save the image in your favorite format.

3. You can use special tools made to take screenshots like hypersnap. These tools have inbuilt editing capabilities to edit your image the way you want. There are many tools available on the internet to take screenshot or to take screen capture.

Here are the steps you have to follow to make a new drive in windows vista:

1. Right click on the “My Computer” icon on your desktop and select “manage” from the menu. That will open a new window.

2. Double click on the “Disk Management” option.

3. Right click on the drive you want to partition and select “Shrink volume” from the menu.

4. After some calculations a small window will appear. Enter the size of the new volume and click “Shrink”.

5. You will now have a new drive in the drive list.

6. Format the new drive by right clicking on it and selecting “format”.

7. Your new volume is ready to be used now.

I installed the windows 7 on the new drive and really enjoying it.
